Is Russia A Threat

Is Russia a threat. Through all the years they have pointed nukes at us and One of their sub went rouge towards Hawaii. What else has happened or what will happen.

Yes and No...I'd have to go with No.

If they were, the cold war would still be going on.

Mind you, they do pose certain threats (not the least of which is possessor of a large nuclear stockpile). They also have a tendency to sell military equipment to people who aren't exactly friends with us...so there is a threat...but not a great looming one....

Hopefully, our relationship with them will continue to be one of mostly cooperation.

No, if anything, Russia(and her former republics) will become one of our strongest and most powerful allies if we play our cards right. But if we keep doing what Bush is doing, they can be our most dangerous enemy.

The U.S. is certainly in Russia's long range plan, but there are a few local issues for 'her' to deal with, of course. They might take 50 years or so.
