House Passes Laken Riley Act

The U.S. House passed the controversial "Laken Riley Act" today.

Laken was the girl murdered for no reason by an illegal alien migrant.

The bill requires ICE to arrest and detain illegal aliens like Laken Riley’s murderer until they are removed from the US.

Apparently 159 Democrats voted against this!! (Maybe they were upset about something else?)

It seems a good deterrent, and certainly a useful tool to remove scumbag foreign thieves from one's land.

Laken Riley Act

This bill requires the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to detain certain non-U.S. nationals (aliens under federal law) who have been arrested for burglary, theft, larceny, or shoplifting. The bill also authorizes states to sue the federal government for decisions or alleged failures related to immigration enforcement.

Under this bill, must detain an individual who (1) is unlawfully present in the United States or did not possess the necessary documents when applying for admission; and (2) has been charged with, arrested for, convicted of, or admits to having committed acts that constitute the essential elements of burglary, theft, larceny, or shoplifting.

The bill also authorizes state governments to sue for injunctive relief over certain immigration-related decisions or alleged failures by the federal government if the decision or failure caused the state or its residents harm, including financial harm of more than $100. Specifically, the state government may sue the federal government over a

decision to release a non-U.S. national from custody;
failure to fulfill requirements relating to inspecting individuals seeking admission into the United States, including requirements related to asylum interviews;
failure to fulfill a requirement to stop issuing visas to nationals of a country that unreasonably denies or delays acceptance of nationals of that country;
violation of limitations on immigration parole, such as the requirement that parole be granted only on a case-by-case basis; or
failure to detain an individual who has been ordered removed from the United States.

Same thing happened not long ago when 158 Democrats voted against deporting ILLEGALS who commit sex crimes.

Thing is, the Democrat party is responsible for a lot more than that. 30% of the women coming into the country have been raped. Children trafficked in prostitution and who knows how many of those kids will be alive when they’re no longer useful to the cartel. Dems have ignored it was happening and turned a blind eye to it all.

So 46 Dems voted yes, and 100% Rep voted yes. This is a good sign as we move into 2025 where hopefully a group of Dems see the writing on the wall while we will still have that hard-core group that would vote no if it was a bill push by Republicans for a free cure for cancer.

No, the bill is to detain those that are known to commit crimes, even before entering the US, criminals that kill innocent people in the US and are illegals will still face the law and our jails.
