Greetings and Salutations Most Esteemed ATS'ers!

I was browsing around this morning with morning wake up routines and landed on this charming video, which, if viewed in it's entirety, wraps up with an interesting hypothesis I found somewhat interesting.

I know the majority of us here are already aware of the rise of life on this lovely little planet we all call home, and there has been much talk of climate changes and natural cycles in the news the past couple of decades, so I figured I'd bring this to ya'lls attentions for a nice little relaxing meditation into where we, as the Human Collective, are in the Greater Scheme of Things and what may or may not be in store for us in the Future.

It's a lovely video, and I found it to be relaxing and a nice break from Politics and Christmas Madness.

Presented for your consideration.

I'm looking forward to whatever contributions you have in regards to the overall discussion!

Peace and Goodwill to You and Yours.

~ GE

Interesting video but I have to disagree with the rise of technological civilization.

Technological civilization arises from boredom. There must be free time to be bored. This boredom is boring thinks man. I have to do things to fill the time. So man goes and invents things like religon, art, government, the need for coasters because he made a coffee table that has a surface finish that will stain with water just because he liked the looks.

More technology available makes for more free time to be bored. More bordem means more technology is created to fill that boredom.

It is a self sustaining loop.

Must make things to save time. Must make things to fill the time. Repeat forever until splat. That splat is ether from an asteroid or someone invented a self replicating paperclip factory that goes wild and makes the entire mass of the planet into paperclips.

But only then will the paperclip factories make space travel truly feasible by being bored form just recycling rusty paperclips. The huge fleet of space going paperclip factories goes boldy forth to make the planets, star systems, and yes, even galaxies into paperclips.

I prove my point. I am bored so I made technology that destroyed the entire universe by making it into paperclips. Or the asteroid hits and saves the universe as life has to start again.
