I think there is something deeper going on.

You are going to see a push to ban drones ala guns.

This way, the mostly peaceful J6 v2 protests can not be recorded by citizens to disprove the narrative that is coming.

Yup. And all the stubborn resistance and tangents is suspicious too. 😬

There's a military base where some of the drone sightings were. I would say it's related. Here's results from two Google searches:

Does New Jersey have any military bases?

Picatinny Arsenal is located in Morris County in Northwest New Jersey. It is approximately 35 miles west of New York City. Situated on a 6,500-acre military installation, Picatinny Arsenal plays a unique role in the United States' ability to wage war.

New Jersey residents have described seeing the drones flying overhead, sometimes in clusters. Drone sightings have been reported around Morris and Somerset counties, according to local officials. Both counties are in the New York metropolitan area.

ETA: I think it's our own military doing some exercise to confuse adversaries.

I've seen some NJ footage that looked UFOish on IG but otherwise doesn't look like anything paranormal. Most look blurry and like all classic UFO hoax videos doesn't show it disappearing or going off into space at astonishing speed. I did see a couple little videos like that on IG though....but majority of them, nothing bizarre.

The explanation of we didn't come across anything unusual that night is because they can't say we were doing a military exercise to throw off the enemy.

I've done some more research but at Picatinny Arsenal, Morris County NJ, there is also SAIC which is a huge AI, engineering, tech company. They have a division called CUAS which stands for Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems. Unmanned Aerial Systems are the military's name for drones. So BS they don't know anything! That is a drone surveillance base! They probably launched them from there!

They don’t actually build, test full systems, or operate C-UAS there. It’s the home of the engineering division that comes up with ideas for C-UAS before going to the companies that actually build them. Building and actual testing take place at other locations. They may have some there for limited testing, and ready to send out to units, but they won’t have a full up operating system.

They’ll do some design work, and may make some changes as needed, but the actual systems are built by Raytheon, and other companies, just like with any other military system. They also do things like PDR and CDR there, so they need engineers capable of doing all kinds of things with them. Testing takes place at Dugway, Yuma, and WSMR.

The Arsenal also does conventional work in artillery, cannons, and previously the rail gun. There’s a lot of different work that happens there, in addition to C-UAS work.

FWIW

A New Jersey sheriff attempted to track the mysterious drones that have been spotted flying over the state with his department’s own drone, which he said the mystery aircraft “easily evaded.”

Ocean County Sheriff Michael Mastronardy said that one of his officers witnessed a swarm of 50 drones “coming off the ocean.”

“We contacted state police, we contacted the FBI, we contacted the Coast Guard, at which point the Coast Guard went out with their boat, and they reported seeing 13 following their boat,” Mastronardy told NewsNation on Friday.
The Coast Guard told his office the unexplained aircraft had a wingspan of eight feet, Mastronardy said.

The sheriff’s office then put up their own “industrial-grade drone” to follow one of the strange aerial devices, but the sheriff told NewsNation’s Rich McHugh that it “easily evaded” their drone and “disappeared out of thin air.”

“If this is not our military, then it’s even more scary,” McHugh said. “These things look like they are fixed-wing and they have multiple lights. I’m not really sure how to process what I saw last night. Both the photographer and I were kind of stunned.”
