What's Zedd been doing? FREE Avatars!

I’m really impressed with this one.

The colors are awesome and the “fit and finish” is all-pro. What impressed me is the text and the way it’s overlaid on the rays. There is a border that extends around the text that separates it from the background. I never would have though of that…It really makes it look professional…What can I say I appreciate the details. Awesome job Zedd.

btw- I’m not going to use the image for my avatar because I’m attached to my current one, I just wanted to comment.

That font Candace used to be free and I was going to post a link, but now it seems (after a search) that it is only available by paying.

Anyway, I found the picture and liked it (guy sitting with the rays). I used the same color as the darker rays to create the circle border and then used the font with a 2 or 3 px stroke in that same darker color.

Presto! Ok, I know that the magic is gone once you know the trick, but still...end effect is what I try to achieve. Details, details can make or break as you can see. Just enough but not too much is best I have found.

I happen to own a few signed O'Barr limited edition prints. We have similar taste so how could I not want to experiment?
