It looks like the Repubs have shifted traditional Liberal.

I think the shift of so many liberals to the far left has caused a lot of the ceturists to start giving up. That, and as people age they tend to see political policies a lot differently.
Heck, when I was young I far prefered a liberal government because of all the freebee give-aways for the lower working class and as I grew older I realized that the money I earned working was being used to pave the road for those who chose not to be gainfully employed.

Women on welfare with children could work a limited number of hours and still qualify for health coverage, food stamps, money, daycare, housing, etc. but the minute they took on a full time job those benefits would end.
They had a choice between a fairly comfortable existance or an uphill struggle to try and keep their head above water.

When I divorced in 1979 I signed up for welfare. They told me to get a roomate and they could pay half of the rent and utilities without reducing my benefits. I was flabbergasted!
I got a job later that month and went in to cancel any future benefits. They told me I could still receive full bebefits for the next month, half benefits for the following three months and foodstamp after that. I told them 'no thank you'.

It was a rough go that year, but in the end I'm the one I have to live with 24/7. I didn't feel right being part of the problem. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

You say it like it's no big deal, but think of this. He was attacked constantly for years and he survived the attacks and kept going, never wavering from his goal to save this country. He survived two assassination attempts, and the first words that came out of his mouth when he was shot on the ear was "fight, fight, fight". Before he was treated like a Leper, and today he's being celebrated by a magazine that hated him. Our enemies are starting to think about making changes before he gets into office. What did Obama, Gretta and the others do to earn person of the year. Nothing.

Disgraced Weirdo DON LEMON (who was ejected from CNN) can't come to grips with Time Magazine awarding Donald Trump the title of 2024's Most Special Person of the Year...

Former CNN host Don Lemon struggled to comprehend Thursday that President-elect Donald Trump has been named Time Magazine’s 2024 “Person of the Year.”

Lemon questioned whether or not the public is “being scammed” as there is no possibility that Trump could be eligible to be given this title.

“Now when you think about what encompasses ‘Person of the Year,’ just because you are elected President of the United States does not mean you should be ‘Person of the Year.’

Time Magazine, what are you doing?” Lemon asked.

“Let me ask you Time Magazine, what do you say to the women who I guess still read Time Magazine? … What about the women who are on that list?

I’m sure some of them will have dealt with issues that women have to deal with, like discrimination in the workplace, [sexual assault], all kinds of things?

You have someone on the cover of your magazine who is an adjudicated assaulter, you have someone who inspired an insurrection, you have someone who without a doubt, the evidence is there, tried to overturn a free and fair election!

You had someone who had multiple criminal counts and found guilty on multiple criminal counts!”
