Ironman first appeared in "Tales of Suspense" in 1962. It wasn't until 1968 that he has his own comic.




The Cybermen from Dr Who first appeared in 1966 on the episode "The Tenth Planet".



Do they look that similar ? mmmm sort of ?

Both are mechanical men, both have a power source on their chest and as the years went on, the resemblance became a little more obvious.






So, did somebody from Dr Who see that first version of Ironman and ran with the idea ?

Did the CYBERMAN save people's lives too?

i quickly goodled history of robots in sci fi and the below video popped up, ive not watched it all yet but they mention a book from 1907 'Ozma of Oz'

They also find a clockwork man named Tik-Tok (one of the first intelligent humanoid automata in literature), who joins them

also hes called tik tok, theres nothing new under the sun, i honestly thought that name was created for a crappy website, we live and learn
