Morning’s Reverie
The rays of the morning sun reflect off your golden-blonde hair.
And illuminate your green eyes, as soft as the sun’s caress on your sun-tanned skin.
You appeared in my life as if an answer to a prayer.
Words would fail if I dare tell of my feelings for you, not knowing where to begin.

I feel the rush of a cool fall wind from off the peaceful sea.
I feel the gentle touch of your warm hand as it grasps mine, oh so delicately.
I feel the grace of your presence awake as a jubilee.
I feel my spirit soaring as an eagle high on the winds so wild and free.

We leave footprints in the sand as we walk, barefoot, side-by-side.
Leaving the world and its cares behind as we bask in the morning’s reverie.
Two solitary figures once lost in a world so wide.
Meeting as two unfurled masts, their boats guided by the winds that were meant to be.

Darling, please don’t leave my side as we press on forward to find…
Darling, please stay with me as we discover together where this path will unwind.
