In an incredibly short sighted decision Starmer decided to hand the British overseas Territory of the Chagos Islands to Mauritius who are under the influence of China , Nigel Farage has said he's already spoken to members of Trump's inner circle about the issue and given the US military houses its strategic airfield and naval facility on Diego Garcia it seems highly likely Trump will take this opportunity to give Starmer a political slap in the face.

Former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has previously highlighted that British sovereignty over Diego Garcia is vital for global security. With Donald Trump now in the White House, insiders suggest that he may take action to reverse Labour’s deal in order to protect American and British interests in the region.

In what can only be described as an act of duplicity, Labour misled the House of Lords when Lord Kempsell raised concerns about the potential handover of the Chagos Islands. Just weeks before the official announcement, Labour dismissed the idea as “premature to speculate,” only to push ahead with the decision soon after, without the slightest hint of parliamentary debate.

Nigel Farage puts a slap down on the government if they think the deal surrendering the Chagos Islands is going to go ahead.

The Labour government says that the Chagos Islands agreement has been welcomed “by all parts of the US system”.

I think that they are in for an unpleasant surprise

Starmer's view of his toast in the morning.
