Bomb threats to polling locations linked to Russia across the country have caused disruption on election day.

At least two GA polling locations shutdowning down for 30 minutes as they reviewed the threats credibility.

ATLANTA, Nov 5 (Reuters) - Phony bomb threats that appeared to originate in many cases from Russian email domains targeted polling locations across several U.S. states on Tuesday, the FBI said.

"None of the threats have been determined to be credible thus far," the FBI said in a statement, adding that election integrity was among the bureau's highest priorities.
At least two polling sites targeted by the hoax bomb threats in the election battleground state of Georgia were briefly evacuated on Tuesday.

Those two locations in Fulton County both re-opened after about 30 minutes, officials said, and the county is seeking a court order to extend the location's voting hours past the statewide 7 p.m. deadline.
Republican Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger blamed Russian interference for the Election Day bomb hoaxes.

"They're up to mischief, it seems. They don't want us to have a smooth, fair and accurate election, and if they can get us to fight among ourselves, they can count that as a victory," Raffensperger told reporters.

The reason Russia is able to exploit this low cost means of attacking the US is because so many of our citizens have come to believe their political rivals are capable and willing to bomb each other.

You honestly think if the country wasn't so divided, and a bomb threat was called in, the polling places wouldn't have closed for 30 minutes to check the place out for everyone's safety?

You really believe they'd just laugh it off and keep operating and risk all those lives?

I had a bomb threat called into a building I worked in in the late 90s. We shut down for over an hour so the local PD could search the building.

It's a shame we have all this division but that has nothing to do with why they shut down. They shut down out of prudence. They'd do that regardless. Just a weird take man.

I don't understand why they are trying to keep the polling places open later. By my understanding, if you are in line when it closes you still vote. They just don't let anyone else get in line after the closing time.

I was told that many times when I voted after work in Georgia. Smells fishy to me.

Are these Russians the same ones that they always bring up for Russia, Russia, Russia?

I just hope the intel is good enough in the event they are “needed” that they don’t end up engaging with other government “operatives”, er I mean right-wing provocateurs.

It is Fulton county, the same one who has criminals trying to weaponize the Justice department to keep the opposition off the current election ballot. And really Russians?

We know it could not have been a Trump supporter because his picture would have already been blasted in everyone's devices with 700,000 instant red banners hijacking all their airwaves simultaneously to paint him as the kind of radical that Trump will empower. In 4k UHD. Even those without internet will somehow have gotten their devices force fed a free signal just to deliver the message.

The kinds of things this person said in that letter, well rage rape seems like the kind of thing a certain type of person would say, likely an incel basement dweller type.

It would be interesting to know whether these bomb threats that were called in targeted a certain political party more than the other. Were the bomb threats against predominantly Democrat or Republican voting areas? I do not automatically buy into the Russian connection to these threats just because the FBI says so, they tend to be in bed with the Democrats lately on quite a few things, not saying they are not telling the truth, just cautious in being fooled to believe in a possible lie. Any person could call in a bomb threat or message one, a good hacker can make the message come from somewhere else easily.
