Could the Civilian Marksmanship Program be preparing people for revolt?

The Civilian Marksmanship Program is run by the US Government.

Its ostensible purpose is to promote marksmanship and the safe handling of firearms.

If a person meets certain conditions and has the right to own a gun, CMP will sell them a USGI M1 Garand which has been graded and rebuilt if necessary. There's nearly new ones and well-worn-but-serviceable ones.

They may simply insinuate you get your M1 if you express dissatisfaction with how the country is going or perhaps are proud of your Confederate heritage.

Do any of our country-based members see a lot of M1s bIeing shot, bearing in mind there have always been a few? (since they became surplus I mean.) Suppose if they think you are with them, they will tell you to save the good M1s and maybe use up some badly worn ones for practice with your rifle club, or they direct you to buy a certain .22 rifle for practice.

Whether or not the CMP is subverted, it is quite possible the program is being subverted by its clients or purchasers.


Who could be doing this and what could they want?

Communism is a huge possibility.

Or, they've been lying to us about what the Confederacy was all about. It may have been about building the Ottoman empire. It may have corrupted the inner city.

Speaking of guns, if the cheat succeeds as Obama and Biden think it will, people are certainly going to need to be armed in a big way.
Because of all the foreign criminal rapists and pedo-murderers they want to import more than they already have, will be larger numbers of them. Foreign third world banana republics didn't let all their worst criminals out of the worst prisons out of kindness. They're taking advantage of the opportunity to reduce their yearly expense of keeping their own criminals in prisons.

Marksmanship should be elective in 9-12 curriculum nationwide. If you can sign up to earn your driver's permit then firearms safety is likewise prudent and essential. It's not about enabling gun violence but guaranteeing all citizens are sufficiently informed, trained and licensed to own a weapon if they choose to purchase one. Better to have and not need, as they say.

I wasn't clear in my OP. There may be factions in the government which would like a revolution. What if a sizable movement or conspiracy in the military, for example, decided there should be martial law until some sort of military-led dictatorship could be installed?

So yes, I do believe the Government would be financing a marksmanship program to teach their brainwashed leftists to aim accurately.

As for the left hating guns, only if the people they hate have them. Otherwise it's ok for them the left, but not us, so to say.

They're not brainwashed.

Some people want communism.

They do want access to the better jobs.

Contemporary communists may dismiss the economic state of the Soviet Union by saying the states that formed it started out poorer to begin with, and they had devastating wars to pay off which weren't their fault.

It need not be Communism though. There could be some whole other angle. Perhaps Harry & Megan were supposed to start leading the poor. Perhaps they are and we don't know it yet. Royalism, fascism, and communism are kind of like the far left contenders to the Democratic primaries. It's just different ways of cutting up the pie of Other Peoples' Money.

Just commenting because I somehow forgot about the CMP. Havent checked their site for a couple years now I guess. Wonder what their current stocks of rifles are. Bought a couple Garands and a carbine from them back in day. Last I heard, they were selling 1911's, but again, that was several years ago.
