I was just cruising as one does and came across this little snippet, these small motorbikes look about a hundred cc with a massive low gear ratio but what they are doing with them is probably dangerous stupid and all the rest. It took about six fit men to load one side with the weight of the log, and the same to balance it up on the other side. Then they take the logs to the sawmill out of the jungle on forest tracks.

Just for the heck of it , I have never seen six passengers plus the driver on what looks like a 200cc bike either.

I'm thinking those must be Teak logs. Teak is incredibly heavy.

Around here it is not unusual to see 4 or sometimes 5 on a 125 cc bike if you count a baby being held. One accident can wipe out an entire family... They have bikes because it is better than walking as a car is way out of the price range for most.

Most people do not realize just how good and lucky they are in their present life.

I've a Yami XSR 125. Fun thing to ride but only with me on it. I couldn't imagine riding with all that weight.

To the contrary, they must be something like balsa wood which is incredibly light.

I saw four teens on a little 125 about a week ago, they came flying by me none had a helmet on or any protection I was just shocked they all fit on this bike, I wanted to know where the hell was so important to go that all 4 of them piled on this tiny motorbike

There are many far flung places which those overloaded motorbike contraptions are the only form of transport.
During my times in Asia I must have walked well over 100km in all weather including monsoon with all my gear just to avoid the risks of traveling on those "mini bus bikes"

Those things terrify me.

Pretty sure you're right. That looks exactly like teak and if it is, that little bike is pulling roughly half a ton of weight. Those logs would be 5 - 600 lbs each.
