If you guessed Ashville North Carolina you would be correct. Since Katrina everytime there is a major weather event I start searching for information about that location. If it's a chemical disaster I do the same thing. So this is my discovery.

TextThe Kings Mountain site has one of the world’s richest lithium depositions, representing an essential part of the global clean energy transformation.

I'm still researching this so I'll update as I find out more.

thing is lithium ain't clean, nor is any battery type for that matter, some are better than others but they all create hazardous waste. Hydrogen is the answer.

Text“What you have here is one of, if not the only source of hard rock lithium in the United States,” said Palenick.

According to Albemarle Corporation, the lithium deposits would initially support the manufacturing of 1.2 million electric vehicles each year.

Nope. King's Mountain is near Charlotte NC. Asheville is about two hours away, by car. BTW there is no "Ashville" NC afaik.

i think you need to specify that there is no Ashville as in the spelling.
Asheville the town in NC
Ashville not a town in NC
the e makes the difference.

I thought I made that clear enough in my post. Apparently not clear enough for some. Which isn't surprising at this point.

Asheville/Ashville not even the main point. King's Mountain is in close proximity to Charlotte, not Ash(e)ville.
