1st time in decades China has tested an ICBM This is not a good sign supposedly this is the second war signal in 10 days not sure what the 1st was - None of these guys want Trump back in office are they planning on something before the election Biden certainly doesn't care or is this a warning pointed at Trump

China says it successfully fired an intercontinental ballistic missile into the Pacific Ocean on Wednesday, a rare public test that analysts said was meant to send a message to the United States and its allies amid heightened regional tensions.

An ICBM carrying a dummy warhead was launched at 8:44 a.m. Beijing time and fell into a designated area in the high seas of the Pacific Ocean, the Chinese Defense Ministry said in a statement. It did not specify the missile’s flight path or landing location.

Maybe to cover up the newest Zhou-class Nuclear sub that sank whilst docked at the Shuangliu shipyard, just before launch...

www.mirror.co.uk...

Beijing has been embarrassed as its new nuclear submarine sank as it was docked next to a pier as it underwent construction

According to CCP spokespeople, this test was regular and routine for this rocket force.

Albeit they haven’t done it since the 80s?

So yeah. There’s that.

With things heating up between NATO and Russia over Ukraine, guess China does not want to miss out on the Royal Rumble should it kick off.

Maybe China is trying to warn Putin to calm the rhetoric down?
They have repeatedly told him they would not support ANY use of nuclear weapons whether tactical or not.

Perhaps its meant as a sign of strength to Iran and North Korea, possibly even India and Pakistan?
Or a reminder to everyone that they have big boy toys as well?

What is certain is that China will only ever do what China thinks is best for China and in accordance with its own goals and objectives.

China got along better with Trump than with Biden. Biden really stuck it to them, Trump's import taxes and restrictions on imports were tiny compared to Biden's actions.

I can't understand why anyone would say that China dislikes Trump more than a Democrat president candidate.

I really can't believe that anyone would be 1st to launch we would know and launch back it's literally suicide with no benefit to the 1st strike unless they use submarines but still MAD

Their statement could be correct, as far as it goes, but it leaves some things out.

China recently completed construction of 3 ICBM missile fields out in the Gobi Desert. The fields are big enough to allow the installation of up to 300 new missiles. So, they are looking at re-starting the production line for ICBMs. I would think this recent test is related to that situation. Possibly need to verify any modifications/upgrades.

Each missile can carry 3 or more warheads, so they are looking at adding somewhere around 1,000 new warheads to their arsenal. Currently, they are estimated to have about 300, so that is a big step up. 300 warheads is enough to provide a deterrent to the US using its nuclear weapons against China, but it is not enough for a nuclear war-fighting strategy. In practical terms what that means is that if the mainland decides to try to invade Taiwan and we intervene and sink their invasion fleet, they are not currently in a position to threaten to use nuclear weapons in response. If they add all these new weapons, that calculation will change. It will be closer to the situation between the US and Russia, today. I personally don't think they will try anything militarily against Taiwan until they gain something like parity with us in nuclear weapons.
