Another Attempt (?) - Police Find Explosives in Car Near Trump’s Long Island Rally

This is getting way way out of hand. It has to be reeled in by our sitting government. Where is the press conference calling for peace from Biden?

Sources in the Nassau County Police Department just told me that “the perimeter was breached and a blue barrel was removed” from the area surrounding tonight’s Trump rally site. Source said “During K9, doing their checks, they found an explosive device in one of the vehicles and that driver ended up running into the woods. No one saw if he had anything on him, they just saw him take off running. A lot of cars are now parking, they’re lining up on Hempstead Turnpike, just parking on the grass. Even over at Eisenhower Park, they’re just parking over there.”

So, there is a barrel removed and a car with explosives in it. In many cases of a shooting they find explosives also.

The source of this has, as you point out, removed the claim they first made so happily and prematurely and now say that indeed, that claim was false. Good on ole Bart for that at least.

Yeah. I have read the same 'retraction' but it does not sound right.

They were testing the 'dog' during a Trump rally and the person who was testing ran away? Now, they are interviewing them?

Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder said in a statement Wednesday morning: "Reports of explosives being found at the site [of the Trump rally] are unfounded. There is a person who is being questioned who may have been training a bomb detection dog near the site. The individual with the bomb dog falsely reported explosives being found and that individual is currently detained by police."

I believe this guy as much as the City Manager of Springfield.

If it turns out to be nothing, so be it, but this is to much of a coincidence for me.

How exactly does one train a bomb sniffing dog without some explosives to sniff for?

A false positive while not even having a target to train with?

This story doesn't smell right at all.

This seems like a false alarm - which can happen when security services are on high alert.
It's better to be overly cautious - but the media should refrain from reporting 'breaking' news that may be wrong.
That's part of the problem - the rush to publish first even if the information might be dodgy.

It's going to keep happening until 'they' get it right.

Why are we believing anything about this from those in charge.

Why would you be testing a bomb sniffing dog at a location of a Trump rally? Who is the company or organization doing the training? Where is the apology? A barrel removed and a car searched. This tells me that there was concern and it was not because of a training exercise.

Like I said, if it is nothing fine but days after a man with an SKS laid in wait and two months after he was shot this leaks? Occams Razor.....

I read about the rally with the people. Very odd.

At this point they are becoming so numerous now they can be brushed aside easier by LEOs. The first is not even talked about anymore. Where is the information? FOIA are being denied. Evidence destroyed. Body gone. They washed away the evidence of an assassination attempt. They DNGAF anymore and if they will do this to stop one man you really think they are not prepared to take away the rest of your rights?
