The Discord at Discord

I've signed up for Discord a couple of months ago and went, this morning, to check on the climate there for a piece I've prepared. But the gate(s) is/are barred, locked and hidden in some undetermined mishmash of instructions and, maybe, poor management. How can it exist, if even thrive, if it remains difficult to simply enter beyond an email address and a password?

We all have dozens of sites we visit with those two, basic bits info and identity. At some of those places we pledge our lives with other info and critical personal info to those places--not without some grimacing sometimes, but we do it as it is the standard.

So Discord is nothing but a free informational site. What is the reason for the complexity? Not a nickel is threatened through any of your info you put there, yet its multi-levelled fence is quite solidly established to protect something which seems to have some magical value someplace to somebody.

Have you joined any particular server? Are you using the ATS lite server or you looking for something?

Is ATS Discord OK?
To be honest I haven't looked in on the place for quite some time.

I quite like the chat nature of ATS Discord.

That's only part of Discord I've ever visited and to be honest don't really know how it works.

Hope it gets sorted soon for those who use/need it.

I stopped using the ATS discord after the 'Deny Ignorance' site went up which I joined but just lerk' on.
I have a group of friends who game together and use dicord for the live group chat, it can run really well underneath your game and is private. Good for teamwork.

I tried discord ... couldn't figure out how to get around on it.
It wasn't user friendly to me.

It does take some getting used too..

I was still logged in over there, not seeing any issues?

My experience, example googling for tech support:

Find link/invitation to join a discord to get further info.

Click link.

Asks you to accept Term of Service, click accept.

On left of screen is all previous servers you’ve been accepted to. The link you click opens a new server. The server has many channels on the left. Click the faq or help channel.

Ask a question.

The group fusses at you and tells you their unique way to ask for help.

Follow those directions.

If your lucky someone that can answer you does immediately, if unlucky takes days to get help or you never get an answer.

The other one I tried is Reddit.

They have tons of things to talk about.

But I can't find my way around there.

And when I find interesting stuff ... I can't find my way back to it.

I gave up.
