I'm kicking back on the couch with my coffee, searching the Tube for vintage stuff, and came across this old classic. It's a 1950 British film based
on three short stories by W. Somerset Maugham. The second story, "Mr Know All" features one of the most obnoxious characters you'll ever see.
The punchline in the first. If I knew how to read and write I'd be a virgin at St. Peters. Great and said with such a happy smile.
Mr. Know it all yes, a narcissist. I liked his line when accused of blowing his own trumpet. '''What's a trumpet for''. But in the end he showed
himself a decent chap after all.
