Another exposure coming into the light of day.

Now it appears Kamala Harris's Brother in Law was in charge of a DOJ program that somehow awards lawsuit settlements and then cleverly somehow donates money to favorite organizations (usually Democrat favored).

Details in the story.

This is just one way infiltrated Executive Branch Agencies can fleece taxpayers and get away with it hands down.

Apparently they found a way to "settle" lawsuit cases without going to trial. Some cases may even have been lock wins for the DOJ, but they choose to settle against themselves anyway!! Surprise Surprise.

It's The DOJ's "Judgement Fund" 🤣🤣

Anybody have any first hand knowledge or experience with this, or with Tony West?

Run by the Treasury Department, the Judgment Fund’s secrecy is so complete that our often-penetrated CIA might study it for lessons.

The limited data released omits recipients, the facts underlying the case, and often the lawyers involved.

By statute, attorneys’ fees awarded need not be disclosed.

A Government Accountability Office study concluded that “no one knows the number of claims processed by the federal government each year.”

Still, for three decades, the integrity of Justice’s officials sufficed to prevent abuse.

Then, in 2009, Tony West took over the department’s Civil Division, the division that litigates and settles lawsuits.

Once West arrived, his deputy emailed colleagues asking “can you explain to Tony the best way to allocate some money toward an organization of our choosing?”

Settlements became the vehicle for paying off political allies.

For example, in late 2010, after a Supreme Court victory, DOJ lawyers were on the cusp of winning a decade-long fight against discrimination claims by 91 Hispanic and female farmers.

Kamala’s brother-in-law fleeced taxpayers for billions to give to left-wing groups and lawyers

Tony West (attorney)
💥

Derek Anthony West (born August 12, 1965) is an American attorney, former government official, and the Senior Vice President and chief legal officer of Uber. Before Uber, West was Associate Attorney General of the United States and general counsel of PepsiCo. West previously served as the Assistant Attorney General of the Civil Division, the largest litigating division in the Department of Justice.

During his time at the Department of Justice, West played a role in the administration's decision to stop defending the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) after concluding that the statute was unconstitutional. West was also involved in efforts by the Department to reclaim $37 billion from large financial institutions and worked on the department's efforts to improve public safety in Indian country, including the tribal provisions in the 2013 reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). On August 21, 2014, West announced a $16.65 billion settlement with Bank of America to resolve federal and state claims against Bank of America including its existing and former subsidiaries, including Countrywide Financial Corporation and Merrill Lynch.

West is the brother-in-law of U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris.

I get the NY Post and read about today. Gives a decent synopsis on why Paige & Strock got a settlement for invasion of privacy. Considering they did it all on government issued phones, ones with no privacy because they are meant for official government business. Obviously a pay-off for their dutiful adherence to the get Trump memo.

Good example of cases that could have been neutralized in the courts. But the easy settlement money flows in many directions. 😀

I am sticking to pay-off! The basic fact that all of that Strock and Paige garbage was on a work phone neutralizes any invasion of privacy. But within the left the definition of words varies based on their need, "official" means something else entirely when a Democrat is involved.

I wonder how much of our taxpayer money was given to the male aide to keep quiet, after video of him getting boinked by the Congressman on the Senate conference room table, was made public?
