It's Quakecon time and this year , yesterday to be precise , id Software released DOOM + DOOM II Together in one package and remastered by Nightdive Studios with improved visuals and optimisations for modern machines and resolutions , there are also new missions and the return of 16 player Death Match.

Priced at £9.99 on Steam the game is also available at fanatical.com for just £6.63 or whatever that is in your currency.


It's like a trip back to the 90s for the price of a coffee and a doughnut .... Bargain.

Still is now mate , just put in a few levels of Doom ... the memories come flooding back as soon as the door opens , sadly can't remember where the secrets are though.

It's 30 years old and still great.

It was less interesting,surprisingly, when I found out saving and restoring was possible.
