XQ-67A : US Air Force Launches New XQ-67A Drone, First Flight

The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) has achieved a significant milestone with the successful first flight of its XQ-67A demonstrator, part of the second generation of Autonomous Collaborative Platforms (ACP). This breakthrough occurred on February 28, 2024, at Gray Butte Field Airport in Palmdale, California. Developed under the Off-Board Sensing Station (OBSS) program, the XQ-67A represents a major advancement in unmanned aerial technology.

Contrary to Hollywood systems like CCA are not going to go rogue or randomly kill people. They're simply force multipliers like any other weapons system. It allows SEAD/DEAD and other high risk missions with no risk to life, as well as loss of a cheap airframe when they get shot down.
