The Blade of Love.

A young man in the Prime of his life see’s a Knife standing blade up on a table. It’s a beautiful Knife he cannot take his eyes off it so he throws his hand down onto the blade ‘ Smack’ !

It’s a sensation unlike anything he has ever experienced so he keeps his hand on the blade and refuses to move.

Later Pain begins and infection sets in so he removes his hand but he does so slowly . A final gasp of pain and he pulls his hand free of the blade . The blade remains on the table covered in his blood as a reminder of the consequences .

The young man’s hand is wounded and the pain is unlike anything he has ever experienced. No funeral , No argument , No amount of trouble has Ever left the young man in this kind of pain. Over time very pain painstakingly slowly the now Grown man’s hand heals though the hand never works the same again.

The now Grown man later in life see’s another beautiful blade and he feels the urge to throw his hand down on the blade .

But he remembers the pain , He remembers the feel of the blade as it slowly pulled from his flesh. A chill runs down his spine “ Never again he thinks Never Again “ .

This is Love loss .

Love loss is like Death only worse . At Least with death you only have to experience it once. I’ve seen men and women throw themselves on Sword after Sword each time it takes a part of them . I just do not understand it . One experience of Love loss was enough for me. Why on Earth would I ever do that again . Perhaps I’m Naive , Perhaps I’m Broken , Perhaps I’m weak but in the end I’ll live with the consequences of being alone .

I think of God and God’s love for Humanity . I cannot even begin to imagine the feeling of loss and sorrow the Lord felt upon the Fall of Humanity .

I totally agree with that.

Ive experienced love once. We lasted 14 years.

Im glad i felt it, never felt it again. Thus far.

The blades actually love it when you dangle your hand over them. The idea to be the one knive that makes you go all the way is the biggest thrill for a knive.

no need to be alone, just don't let the knives know you'll never go all the way ever again...

God doesn't dabble in human emotions...

Ahhhh you see though that's leading them on. As much as I don't want my own heart Broken I'm sure not looking to break anyone else's.

I think of God and God’s love for Humanity . I cannot even begin to imagine the feeling of loss and sorrow the Lord felt upon the Fall of Humanity .

And yet it's said that God din't give up on loving us.

With age comes wisdom (in some cases).

My best half was crushed by 'love' at 18 and never allowed anything more than friendships after that for over three decades.

We've been together for 27 years now, and he claims marrying me was the best thing he's ever done in his life.

I know for a fact that he's my reward for not giving up on life.

That's not how your parable/analogy? works... But i see your point.

True love is hard to find and harder to give, but it can't be lost. A lot confuse transactional relationship for love, but it's just co-dependence...

That's me I'm afraid.

I've had some genuinely good beautiful woman come into my life since my heart was Broken and I cannot for the life of me feel love any longer .

I do hope it does not take me 30 years.

Not everbody blosoms in an intimate relationship, like me. I swore off EVER have a relationship beyond friendship ever, ever again....and then he came along.
