Harehills Leeds UK Getting Rowdy

I walked through Harehills many times when my father was in St James's Hospital. It was always a tense walk. I got the impression my presence was phoned through as I progressed. One time I was almost mobbed by a dangerous seeming crew and ten hours later someone was stabbed a hundred yards from where I was harassed.

Hot weather has brought the tension to a head.

People have described the scenes as 'mayhem' . . .

At 5pm today (Thursday), police were called to an ongoing incident at an address in Luxor Street, Harehills.

Officers attended and found an ongoing disturbance which involved some agency workers and some children.

More people started to attend the location and a decision was made to remove the agency workers and the children to a safe place.

A crowd started to gather and more officers were requested to attend the area, where some pockets of disorder were occurring.

Regardless of what the issue this isn’t civilized.

People looked and acted differently when my Mam used to take me there in the 1970’s.

I agree, but I still like to understand what the latest tantrums are about.

As far as I'm concerned, all this protesting and rioting going on in every country just keeps putting us closer and closer to global totalitarianism.

Shortsighted people just keep handing more and more ammunition to the oligarchs.

Conservatives in N America are doing a good job of not going off the deep end and feeding the beast.

I have wondered into a few areas of the UK when I worked as a Gypo / shopfitter. and only my size and accent saved me .

In the 80s I walked into a pub in Brixton just after the riots there my accent saved me that day and the fact I was determined to get a pint of Guinness and some weed ,the same with Oldham I walked into a pub one night there and if looks could kill , I gubbed my pint and walked out and less than 30 minutes later the place was firebombed and burned to the ground www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk...

There is a lot more to this story of why the riots happened as I have a sister in social services in that exact department and after reading through the contents of hard drives that were not properly deleted in the computers they were up dating my eyes were opened to how many bad parents are out there that look OK on the surface but behind closed doors are a totally different people .

This country is on a knife edge and ready to go as is most of Europe and as we can see it takes very little to start a fire .

Everyone in the country needs to smoke a spliff and chill the F out

Well, the idiot who set fire to a bus with his face in plain view is going to jail.

They will track him down sharpish after all is said and done.

Same with the ones that turned over and burned out the Police car.

Given the evidence thats all over the internet.

Very poor action from the police and no sign of any riot vans, dog units etc...

Full credit to the controvesial Green councilor who recently shouted Alahu Akbar when elected as he was the main person stopping the fires from spreading and stopping rioters from setting fire to houses with kids trapped in.
