And Levy did, her mother said — a result of a U.S. program promoting dialogue between young Palestinians and Israelis she had been part of before beginning the mandatory military service that led to her being taken hostage on the morning of Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack.

It was the friendships she forged during her time in the Hands of Peace program — which has since shut down — that Levy was likely referring to, her mother told NBC News, when she appeared on video showing female soldiers being captured by Hamas militants. The footage released Wednesday showed the fighters calling the women, some of whom were bloodied, “dogs” and threatening to shoot them.

Not sure what criteria the other poster is using but illegal settlers is a recognised international term for the tiny minoririty of Israeli extremists who illegally steal land and houses in the West Bank against international law. .

How did Isreal end up with the West Bank and Gaza. Would you like to give an account?

Sorry for late reply been busy volunteering on a - project but it was due to the six day war in 1967. Not sure what that has to do with illegal settlements and sanctions. The international community (apart from US) recognise Gaza and West Bank as occupied by Israel rather than Israeli territory UK Parliamentary debate on the issue

Please don't try and claim I'm a Hamas supporter, it's a stupid, baseless claim and you can do better - I've never made a single post supporting the terror group and repeatedly posted how Israel has every right to wipe them out and told posters claiming genocide is occuring in Gaza that they don't have a clue what genocide is.

Pointing out the settlements are illegal under international law and were illegal under Israeli law until early last year is simply stating facts not suppoting Hamas - same as pointing out the 100 or so extremists are sanctioned in the West for extremism and that most Israeli's think they're the equivalent of the Westborough Baptist Church and an insult to Judaism.
