New York Times: Upside-down US flag flew at home of Justice Samuel Alito after 2020 election
“I had no involvement whatsoever in the flying of the flag,” Alito said in an emailed statement to the Times. “It was briefly placed by Mrs. Alito in response to a neighbor’s use of objectionable and personally insulting language on yard signs.”
An upside-down American flag – a symbol used by some supporters of former President Donald Trump who challenged the legitimacy of Joe Biden’s 2020 victory
According to the U.S. Flag Code, flying the American flag upside down is only meant to be done "as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property."
The Upside Down American Flag’s Maritime Origins
Long before sparking quarrels in the U.S., the upside down flag custom began at sea. Maritime tradition for centuries held that ships could invert their national flag to signal danger or the need for rescue. Hanging flags upside down evolved as universal seafaring shorthand implying, “we’re in trouble, come save us!” This code was formalized in the 20th century. The United States Flag Code officially stated flying the American flag upside down on land conveys the nation is in distress - think SOS levels of emergency and urgency. These technical guidelines transformed an intuitive custom into law after the advent of air travel increased flying flags beyond naval contexts.

At this stage of the game, I would not be surprised if the dems and George Soros created enough conflict and chaos across the nation giving Bumbling Joe an excuse to declare martial law. Several years ago, I commented on another thread that it was a toss-up as to which one would declare it first. Trump or Bumbling Joe Biden.
