Yeah .. it's just not right.
I"m not a fan of RFK JR. So this isn't me whining and shilling for him.
I just think that a guy with about 10% of the vote in polls should be in the debate.
Some polls have him lower. Some have him higher.
His favorability is 37% which is higher than most of DC.
Both the Democrats and the Republicans would be hurt by RFK Jr Running.
The Trump and Biden teams both have been badmouthing him.
But he should be there.
The stranglehold that the Democrats and Republicans have on elections needs to end.

He also stated in a recent interview that he is in favor of abortions, clear up til full term. I wasn't overly concerned with his hatred of gun ownership, but this makes him a non-issue for me.

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said in an interview released Wednesday that he would allow women to have abortions at full term if that was their choice, the latest answer he has given on abortion policy — and one that provoked a surprised reaction from his running mate.

Sure ... I totally disagree with him on the issues and have ZERO intention of voting for the guy and wouldn't want to see him win. I just think that if a candidate has 10% of the vote in the polls he should be allowed on stage with the Democrat and Republican. It looks like a freeze out.

Of course he is... We don't need choice anymore, even a third bad one. RFK Jr. might get in the way, or Bidens people are concerned he will ask RFK Jr. how Carolyn and Lauren are.

His brain worm should also get its own microphone.

In 2000 Ralph Nader was running with the Green Party with substantial polling figures and neither major party would let him on the stage. Indeed, so afraid of him and his rising numbers and public awareness, they would not even allow him in the audience for fear that there would be a ground swell call from the floor for him. As quietly as possible he was escorted by police to an other location.

Well , Maybe Not Now.................

" RFK Jr. Could Qualify for CNN Debate with Trump and Biden, but Faces Uphill Battle "

" Independent Robert F. Kennedy can qualify for the June presidential debate if he meets certain requirements that former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden will easily satisfy.

To qualify for the June 27 CNN debate, candidates must meet multiple requirements. For starters, they must “appear on a sufficient number of state ballots to reach the 270 electoral vote threshold,” the network notes."

RFKjr. will still pull in more than 10% of the write in votes to make the GOP sick.

He should run as a Libertarian anyway.

I understand what is happening to him, after watching that "spin" documentary someone posted on here the other day. It was happening back in the 90's.

Media doesn't cover you, pretends you don't exist, you don't get invited to debates.
Bingo.
You are not a threat.

I would imagine it is a little harder to do today, with the internet, but they are controlling the narrative pretty well.

(Probably not) for the last time, it is less a debate and more a podcast type interview where the guests hate each other and the host relishes stirring turds and most definitely is a hired shill designated to make the dialogue as exhausting and pointless as possible. Put simply, it's political theater for the illiterate and the easily distracted. You could invest a solid hour unclogging every sink in your house (let's assume for lolz that they are all terribly clogged) and your time would be better spent for it.

I don't watch them.
They are biased and they come on past my bedtime.
BUT .. he still should be in the debate.
I think 10% earns that. IMHO

Sadly, the political debates have turned into partisan sh**shows and a complete circus!

If they really wanted to have a true "debate", they would:

A.) Allow the number of questions to be a multiple of the parties represented. So, if three parties were represented in a debate, the total number of questions would be divisible by 3. Then each party would submit 1/3rd of the questions. This would eliminate all of this fantasy of "unbiased" moderator questions. The questions would absolutely be biased, but biased equally on all sides. All candidates have to answer all questions.

B.) Put each of the candidates in a soundproof booth. Each candidate has EXACTLY the allotted time to answer the question, and not one second more. No other party can interrupt or distract the party who is answering. When it's one party's turn to answer, the other party's are neither seen nor heard (lights and mics off and out of view). If a party wants to waste their time on a rejoinder to a previous question while answering their next question, then that's fine, but they lose the opportunity to answer (fully) the question at hand. In other words, no exceptions to the time rule. All candidates will be allowed to make a closing statement of their own choosing for an allotted time without interruption from the others at the end of the debate. If they choose to use this time to rebut/refute other candidates answers, then fine, but they only get the allotted time to speak and then it is 'lights out'.

Regarding RFK and his participation; I guess if I was a candidate (given the circus atmosphere today of debates), I probably wouldn't actively 'want' to be in a debate just for sake of being in it. But I would cry foul if someone wanted to debate me and I was prohibited from doing so. I would also cry foul if I wanted to debate someone else and was prohibited from doing so.

Edit - I'd also remove any audience from the debates. There is no need to have an audience, this is not some entertainment show; it is an important debate about our country's future. Audiences are just a needless distraction and a way to bias candidate's answers.

June 26 is the first presidential faceoff between Biden and Trump. I would say mark your calendars but with media being what it do, I doubt you'll need reminding.
