I trusted myself, common sense, and my mistrust of big pharma and it went pretty well for me.

I had to practically be hit over the head at the Doctors office. I would walk in with allergies so bad I cannot put a mask on without having issues. I suppose if it was a space suit it would have stopped a virus and I would have worn one for a trip to space. So, we could have worn space suits if they really meant it was a virus so small you have to use a high power microscope to see them. Proving the lunacy of masking up was extreme. Plus, the CO2 and buildup of germs on those masks is another hazard to hurdle.

In other words, a crapshoot. My point exactly. I had a conversation with my medical provider when the vacs became available. It's an OD practice, not MD, if it matters. I told him no way in Hell I was taking an mRNA vax. He thought I was unnecessarily concerned, but respected my decision. Under duress (yes, I'm married) I did take one dose of the J&J. I did end up with a mild (IMO) case of COVID per a clinical test (which again I took under the same duress) and the worst thing about it was losing sense of smell and taste for a few months. Bottom line, I wish there was an authority I could trust, but now more than ever, there isn't. And if there was, it wouldn't be any entity with a financial stake in the advice.

It wasn't exactly a crapshoot; I based all of my decisions on years of experience and understanding of what is and isn't healthy (not exactly hidden or obscure knowledge) and of researching and understanding government and medical overreach in modern and historical times.

For example: Sunshine (vit D), fresh air, exercise, exposure to pathogens (to an extent), community, education, and connection to family have always been known to boost health. We all know this, so why would we listen to health "experts" who are telling us to avoid all of these things in the name of health? I was also privy to the knowledge of the psychological effects of isolation and "lockdown" from my studies of the prison system. The "health experts" replaced everything which is known to boost health with something known to severely damage mental and physical health.

The Opioid crisis was just barely in our rearview. We know that Pharma is a greedy industry which relentlessly chases the dollar at any cost. We have also questioned the damage levied by pharma for years now, from the anti-psychotic drugs which were prescribed to most school shooters to the drugged up fish from our waste to the commercials with side effects varying from dizziness to swollen testicles to death to Fauci's testing drugs on orphaned minority children, we have seen the dark side of this industry. But they produce a fast-tracked experimental drug and work with the government to shame, coerce and force it on everyone and suddenly we trust them with our lives??

I guess my point is, I urge everyone to think for themselves to the extent of their knowledge and experience, and if what they know is incongruous to what the "experts on tv" are saying, question it.

To add to my above post, there was enough going on during the crisis to make one question the efficacy of or motive behind the official response.

From Fauci laughing maskless at a baseball game with his friend in July 2020, to Newsome's dinner party, to the governors of New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Michigan, and California forcing assisted living/nursing homes to accept Covid-positive patients (!!!) to a plane-full of vaxxed Democrats getting Covid, to the Yankees, vaxxed and spreading covid among the team early (showing right away that the vaccine doesn't stop the spread), to Fauci recommending the shot to 6 month old children, there was plenty and more to question along the way.

They knew Congress (Speaker Nancy Pelosi) felt the Covid-19 vaccines were too dangerous, which is why she exempted Congress and their staffers from being injected with the experimental drugs.

Under duress (yes, I'm married) I did take one dose of the J&J.

I have a very similar story.

I was browbeaten by friends and family to finally get the shot. I opted for the J&J "one & done" shot given by a local pharmacy.

I know for a fact I didn't need it as I was exposed to 2 different people that had full-blown COVID and never even got a sniffle, but in order to shut everyone up, I got the shot. I never got a booster or any other shot.

My Dr thought I was one of the 20% or so of people that seem to be immune to it. He may have been right.
