Introduction of Albone

Hello to the familiar, yet confusing ATS. I read the new topic forum for around 20 years on an almost daily basis. With the pending doom porn of the site going away, I decided it was time to add both my number and voice to the site.

I have never been a joiner and don't disclose much on line or in person . As I have aged my filters have gotten fewer.

I'm Ex law enforcement, ex Corp. security director, ex sales rep. and other stuff. I am now an associate pastor. I'm pretty conservative in my views and believe in hard work. My priorities are1) God, 2) My wife, 3) family and 4) my local church. I believe in good Grammer and grace and forgiveness.

All of the government is corrupt and for close to 30 years have voted every time with only a couple of exceptions. My party is straight ticket for "No incumbent" with very limited exceptions.

I have been described as having the heart of a servant and heart of a warrior. We live in SW Missouri, and think you can have a sword or shield but your best and most important weapon is your mind.

Remember your limitations and never give up. Favorite quote "There are things we know, things we know we don't know, and things we don't know we don't know". Personal opinion the last part are the ones that get you hurt.

Hey Al, welcome. That favorite quote of yours is well understood, most I think don't. Ole Daddy Bush used it a couple of times and those few moments were for me at least a couple of glimmers of hope from an otherwise stunted world view. That was back when he was promoting his version of a New World Order. But then, the WWE was promoting the NWO as well. How strange that period was.

I describe most of my jobs as a 1% view. There is a 99% chance something won't happen but I have been paid to protect against the 1% it might.

I also think if people were really aware of our past their hair would catch fire.

I agree and similarly think the same of our present. It's one thing to realize that history is written by the winners and quite an other for that to sink in to the point that way to much of what we believe to be our history is either false or up side down.

It's one reason that ancient history fascinates me. I think so much has been hidden. My religious beliefs don't contradict the hidden history of the world but sometimes the man-made timelines are just that, made by man to control man.

Yeah, sometimes. Many times. I'm old enough that when I was first learning about world history in grade school there was just about nothing in the way of old world structures to talk about other than the Egyptian pyramids. Oh, and that strange Stonehenge thingie.Now, man oh man, multiply that by ten. A hundred? It's a whole different story. I just love it.
