When has ATS never entertained all views as long as they complied with the T&Cs? As it turns out, my personal politics are somewhat consistent with yours, but what I would never do is castigate one political clime over another.

I think what we all need to do is talk. Discuss. Trade views. It's what we used to do. It's much of what this site was designed for. People used to be able to disagree, but still remain friends. Things are so terse lately, that some folk cannot even talk about their views without getting angry. I get it. I'm angry about # also. What I don't want to do is substitute violence for understanding.

Agree. It is so far beyond the bell curve of negligence that it beggars belief that it was all just an oopsie. To have the shooter pointed out with a rangefinder more than an hour before the assassination attempt is enough right there, without even taking into the chain of events that followed. For me, there is only one conclusion, that it was a conspiracy, an orchestrated effort that failed.
