Ugh. this short fat guy from the BIS wants to know who spends a certain $100!? How inconvenient for him he cannot have access to all knowledge that's none of his business!

If this passes and becomes the new standard, it will be the end of what little freedom we have left.
Guaranteed it would also be tied to a stupid so called 'social credit score' , like they haave in communist sh*tholes

Don't have a certain 'social credit score' , sorry can't buy that milk or bananas

It's beyond unreal , the amount of power abuse and corruption this will lead to.

Time to just move on to Patagonia I guess. That should buy another 20 years or so of 'freedom'.

Ecuador tried this out in 2014 and subsequently abolished it.

Looks like Ecuador is in some serious need of democracy in the near future...

We can only hope enough people wake up and that their CBDC plans fail as it is.

One word: Cryptocurrency.

It's what's for dinner!

Or should be...

No need for banks or financial institutions of any kind with regard to the currency used in transactions. But Banks will always have a role as a lender and as a place to store some non-crypto currency as it will still be needed for a while.
