Anyone see that "Saturday Night Live" intro? I can't help getting the idea that Ashton and Demi are finished. Few women can heara the sorts of things he said, without being affected. Once it sinks in, they might be through. Maybe his next big romance will be Amanda Peet?

They did just do that new movie together.

wait...isn't Demi Moore supposedly pregnant with Ashton Kutcher's baby?
I thought I just heard that a few weeks ago, or did I see it in a tabloid...I'm not sure.

either way, mad props to Demi, wish I can still look as good as her when I am her age.

I think the SNL routine was one of those things that went 'too far', and will have unanticipated results. Demi kinda figured she could take it, that it wouldn't affect her, but actually hearing those things, and getting the audience response - sooner or later it's going to sink in. Probably already starting to.

Actresses can be a proud lot, and no woman with any pride can listen to that kind of stuff being said about her. Even if she tells herself that it won't affect her. Especially when she's been a sex symbol for 15 years. Now she's shown in a walker.

Besides, I think Ashton was out for what he could get. He invested more energy into pumping out 2 or 3 films a year (plus TV show), then in his romance. Prehaps he thinks his career has enough momentum to go along independently. I think working with Amanda Peet may have jogged things along too.

I think that you'll hear they've split in the next 3 monthes or so.

I missed it, can anyone fill me in?

And she's been a sex symbol for over 20 years...

I didn't see SNL, but I saw some of the clips. Demi appeared dressed like "Granny" from the Beverly Hillbilles. She went on stage with a walker, and Ashton made lots of remarks that went too close to the line.

I couldn't help thinking that if she watches the tape, or stops and thinks about it, it's goodbye'sville for Ashton. Then again, maybe Ashton's ready to go. He might have enough confidence in his career to make a break from Demi, and Amanda Peet might look pretty good to him.

It wouldn't surprise me if the announce the 'split' in a few monthes, and he went with Peet. of course it might end both their careers. I hear that Hollywood can be a strange town! Anyone read "You'll Never Eat Lunch in this Town Again", by producer Julia Phillips?

So, she was actually in on the skit? (or monolouge?)

I doubt that this would be break-up worthy, then, she had to know what was coming.

Self image is important to most people, especially to actors. That's why they spend thousands on plastic surgery! Money isn't everything, you also have to look good. The thing is that as clever as people think they are, they don't really know themselves. That's why the spends years, and thousands of dollars, on analisys. Hence the french saying, attributed to Jean Paul Satre, that "Everything has been figured out except how to live."

I believe that Demi was kidding herself, which is a favourite pastime of most folks, and thought it wouldn't really affect her. Maybe she even wanted to prove that she was too big to be bothered. Once reality sets in, ie. she's sees the tape, or realizes how she looked, Ashton is finished.

Besides, most people would be glad to see them split up. There was that wierd "3's Company" Hollywood style to the relationship, with Bruce Willis still hanging around on the sidelines. Willis always had that pathetic, and slightly lovesick expression on his face, and always insisted that he liked the clever little dickens who was doing his wife. His voice would crack, as he explained, for the umpteenth time, that "It's not like that", or even "you got it all wrong". Meanwhile Ashton was having a meteroic rise. Everyone could guess what he really saw in Demi.

Well while I doubt that she has problem with it now. I can easily see her having a problem with it in a couple years when she catches the re-run. All it has to be is the right time for it so set off a whole lot of crap. especially when she becomes a grandma(which could be in just a couple of years).

Don't underestimate the power of self image. After all, how much plastic surgery has she had done in the past few years?

I wasn't aware that she had any plastic surgery done. When was this?

She supposedly had more than 6 figures worth of work done below the neck alone.
