The Juice is loose

I hate remakes. Every single time they try it, it's a flop. At least in my opinion. They remade Ghostbusters with an all female cast and it was terrible. They are remaking Roadhouse and it just won't be worth a damn. It's not the actors, it's just that the original actors made the role what it was and trying to recreate that turns out bad every time. So, you can just imagine what I thought when I saw they did another Beetlejuice. I thought "Oh great, what idiot did they get to play the part and just how bad are they going to screw this up.

I was wrong.

I watched the new road house today, and honestly turned out better than I expected. I did not watch the new Ghostbusters and don't plan on it. Maybe I'll give Beetlejuice a shot just because.

This does actually look good! It will be hard to top the first. Definitely helps bringing back the cast.

Seems like Hollywood will do anything to avoid making original films - I saw this trailer yesterday.

Apparently there is a Jake Gyllenhall remake of “Roadhouse”. And people say it’s good.

The idea itself seems terrible .

I saw a photo that purports to be from the movie …. And old Jake looks like Ahhhnold.

Just high strangeness.

Does it have a release date yet? It seems like they've been making it for several years now I'm iffy on remakes too but the trailer looks pretty good

September 6th.

Saw an interview with Michael Keaton recently where he repeatedly said how great it was and that it's currently being re-edited , I liked the original but doubt this will have the same magic.
