Why they!?

Just a passing thought...

If you could choose any pronoun you want, as you can in truth, but cannot impose this into others, why would you choose 'they'?

Wouldn't a soft 'we' sound better?

A bit more inclusive, ya?

I would argue me is better than we. It pretty much sums it all up. It's about the person rather than society.

With that said, I have had many they/thems come through my shop and I have no issues with the individuals. Just the mindset.

Why do you ask so many questions and expect others to fill in your blanks all the time

You are none of those pronouns, but you think you are. That is the exact the me personality individuals have an issue with.

I write, I don't talk as speech is for ears, words are for eyes, and only a friend is honest.

I need no blessings thanks, I give them.

Honestly, American anglophones honestly know NOTHING WHATSOEVER about some language elements! I assure you that pronoun usage is one of those problems.

1. That lady isn't as smart as him.
2. Oh I do hope someone at last night's party got some pictures of my sister and I.
3. Even though their whole team is taller than us, we still won in the end!
4. My dad picked up the phone but all I heard him say was, "this is him," before he walked into the other room.

Just a few sentences with thee most GLARING pronoun problems which I just can't even hear without wanting to rip my ears off. I am told by so many people though just how invisible the problems are. I just want to puke!

My point is that not a single one of these pronoun obsessed people ever model the correct usage of pronouns. What do you do at that point!? When there are reasons for each and every one of their stupid incorrect pronoun choices so why is one wrong one right when another wrong one is wrong!?!? They're both wrong and they all sound stupid given the way these people talk!
