Chicken off?????? The majority of your shop bought chicken is massed produced (I'm not talking about small time farmers) so the plan for those is, example, a 20,000 bird house, brought in as chicks then they are fed cheap food to put on bulk. In the UK it's fish meal, I don't know what they do in the US. But the problem is you can't feed them fish meal up to slaughter as the meat tastes of fish rather than chicken. So they stop feeding them fish meal about 2 months before slaughter and feed them corn meal. a vastly more expensive feed. The bulk took on by the cheap fish meal is "fed" out of them in the last couple of months.
If your chicken tastes funny you know it's what they've been fed in the last couple of months.

We're in Arkansas.

One of the poorest run states in the Union.

They move really slow here and there is a lot of bueraucratic overlap.

It's been a while, but I've been to Bentonville - home of Walmart's HQ. At first, I thought it was amazing that they even had their own airport. And then I remembered...

Walmart.

It was great weather for the 2 days I was there. No complaints or bad things to say about AR from this guy.

I find this amazing because folks are complaining about the cost of luxury things like fast food, meanwhile everyone I know (including myself) are more worried about keeping a roof over their head and affording groceries.

Must be nice just worrying about the cost of a hamburger at a fast food joint.

Absolutely agree.

When enough people who can afford luxuries stop buying luxuries, perhaps more of that good old thing called "Good Value" will be back because of competition.

Also, with home cooking you have a better idea of what actually goes into things rather than buying things because of a picture.

I get invited to 5 guys about every three months. Last time I was there it was about $14. I would move if you are paying $28. Also, 5 guys is pretty mediocre. The burger is decent, but the buns are some kind of fall-apart. I wouldn't call them the best of anything, but better than most traditional fast food. They do have peanuts. Shrug.

Whoever told you Five Guys is the Burger gold standard does not know beef. I would say Five Guys is on par with Wendy's . But here in Tampa Florida, we know Burger Culture. if you refuse to believe me, click on the link and know Beef.

You will pay what they are charging at Five Guys, but your going to be left wanting to spend it again another night. I have not had five guys in over ten years. It my first and only visit, the burger was ok i think, but the salt with a side of fries put me off forever. I have not been back to this day, and that was when I only had two kids.

My grandparents lived in Bytheville Arkansas. Quite poor down there. I understand. Distance from everything helpful is a problem. You're near which major city? Perhaps I can forward some help your way.

It is a struggle for you, but needn't be. If you'd like some info, hit my p.m.

God bless.

I appreciate the kind offer but I can't accept for personal reasons.

It's challenging, but we'll figure out a way.

Thank you for the kindness nonetheless.

God Bless.

Five guys is ok, we all know it’s expensive, not sure why this went viral so many years late.

The local Mom and pop burger joints blow them away where we live, plus it supports local businesses.

In Cali I always hit up an “In and out”, can’t beat the double double, fries I always skip, too much carbs for me.
