Right wing = normal and sane

Yeah, sounds correct. Where is the confusion ?

Back in the 90's, Clinton got 100,000 more law officers and Border Patrol agents to cull crime in high crime neighborhoods and keep the illegal aliens out. Clinton was a dirtbag, but those were sane and normal policies much like the one in the OP. With the pendulum so far left, those now appear to be right wing to hard right policies. Oh, and alt right racist policies.

I know. I was just being silly. I'm not really a cheerleader for either side of the coin .

I have always thought, for decades, that if welfare recipients must be drug tested, so should everybody else being paid by the taxpayer's dime. And most definitely including all politicians.

Yes, randomly and chosen by the people. That's a utopia we'll never see unfortunately.

if private people working for corporate companies have to be drug tested to make the money to pay taxes, then it stands to reason that everyone receiving tax payer money should play by the same rules. Or make drug testing illegal. Whichever.

what do you mean by "right"?

That’s funny. If you know you know.
Now stop confusing the help.😆

And I know, as I posted previously...it's not right or rightward if treatment for addiction is added to the mix, that requires a government that cares for people's welfare.

Hold up there Nellie!

The governemnt's Job is NOT "to care for the people".

Seriously.

Everybody knows what doing drugs can do to you. When a person makes the CHOICE to go down that road, it IS NOT my job to pay for his recovery.

Nor is it the governments job to use my tax dollars to fund their recovery.

I, personally, fell down the alcholoic trap...3 years sobeer this month.

Nobody paid a cent for me. I made the CHOICE (again, that word) to stop.

I have personally seen in those 3 years, over 30 people go thropugh drug court mandated rehab, only to graduate, use and OD. Dead. Waste of my taxpayer money.

Those who want help, will seek it. Those who don't, well they have seen the drama more than once, they know the outcome.

That is cold, I know.

But the truth is the only way to freedom.

And the truth hurts.

When he was first elected I thought we were in for a sh#t show.

He not only surprised me, he won me over eventually. Not a bad President at the time in my opinion.

I care not about the Monica Lewinsky nonsense. God bless him, I say.

Hillary on the other hand, is a whole different breed of scum.

pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov...

Hopefully NIH is an acceptable source

Our meta-analysis results suggest that political conservatives are significantly more charitable than liberals at an overall level

Facts and sciency stuff say the "left" (I know, I know) is stingy and uncaring compared to the "right". I

Your implication is that getting people treatment isn't a value of the right. That is not true. Conservatives are very much into helping, including running institutions that help get people off the streets and off of drugs.

In all fairness, there is a very wide divide though when it comes to arbitrarily tossing money around. $20 million may seem like small potatoes, but looking at similar programs that were implemented in Oregon, the treatment program success was worse than abysmal driving them to recriminalize. The program failed == wasted taxpayer money.
