I guess this fall under weaponry, this stuff makes tanks almost invisable to IR sensing!

www.strategypage.com...

In fact, anyone wearing clothing made from the Intermat material, and wearing the anti-thermal cream, is barely visible to a thermal camera, and would probably be missed by guards glancing at a bunch of monitors showing what thermal cameras outside are scanning. This can work both ways, giving terrorists an edge, but Intermat is a military supplier, and sells only to legitimate military customers. So, for the moment, the troops retain the edge.

Let the guys in the government facility forum know about this, they are still brainstroming how to infiltrate Area51 and such...

Until someone comes along with just the right amount of money and then they'll have this stuff too...

Everything is for sale.... you just have to find the right price....

Not everything, the most important military projects don't get sold, they might be stolen but not sold.

I just love mud - especially around Monmouth - red clay - just like 'Nam!'

Seriously though, we Brits have had this licked for years! We use something called 'Onion Skin'. It's very pale purple/browny/grey in colour, is thermal repellant and porous - that is, it lets in water (rain) when you're struggling to put it up on a Chally II. It shields all thermal sources but it has one drawback - everything gives off heat. So if you're doing a thermal search and you see a large (or small [human shaped]) black smudge, then you've found a vehicle or human.

We Brits (clever us) also use stuff called CARM - Chemical Resistant Materiel. Wonderful stuff! Nuclear, Biological and Chemical proof and waterproof! Great! Costs about £85 a metre!

It has one very big drawback - it's excellant for fish ponds or water features!
