i had kitties for 50 years, half were wild ones, or
someone elses but using my barn to have babies,
and many indoor-out ones
i had one make friends with the raccoons, and that
sparked off 4 litters and 34 babies (raccoons) over
3 years that all came for food, hung around the yard
and even played with 4 skunks
same cat was friends with the deer, and played with the fawns
and the turkeys..
another cat played with , acted like, and colored like
the 5 foxes in the barn.. jumping straight up to pounce on prey
at 5 am every morning there was always a kitty convention
in middle of the road.. 50-100 cats LOTS of screaming bloody murder
but they never fought, only dance, and growl ,and hiss
maybe mating ritual
i have 1 video with 10 deer, 1or2 cats, 2ducks,
and some turkeys, maybe a raccoon too, all in 1/2 hour clip
one kitty lasted 22 years..
one kitty gave birth draggin the babys head
across the kitchen floor
one kitty almost died fighting neighbors rooster,
4-5 quarter size 1 inch deep wounds.
one kitty got shot twice with .22 in the shoulder
then a shotgun to his stomach.. he made it home
both times, but died 2nd time
and i noticed all the neighborhood cats come for food,
like they prowl the neighborhood searching for a brand they like
and if you leave food out at night, just know that.....
CATS, RACCOONS, OPOSSOMS, AND SKUNKS
all will eat as much kitty food as you put out,
our family of 7 skunks
dug tunnels under my porch, 2 feet away from the food bowl,
they really like marshmellos, and one fishes the catfood
out of the water bowl, (like the raccoons do)
they spray as last resort or if startled
and will hiss, run, growl and stamp their feet first
kitties make some strange friends,
