On topic, what is happening in the USA has been happening here for a long time. Only on a less insidious smaller scale. The type that we, on the lower populous level, choose to disregard in the long run. I don't.

Russia has no interest or investments in us here so the feeling from my point of view is the same.

Tragically China is gaining a foothold slowly but surely and to protect their interests I have no doubt they would move across the global board.

Me, I have an interest because I live here. Nothing to fear from Russia but I don't think I would put my chips on the board for our allies to protect us from China.

I mean, why would they.

Dunno where I'm going with this and perhaps I should shut up.

Our leader would poop his pants and cave in if there was an invasion.

US authorities said Volt Typhoon’s unusual choice of targets and behavioural patterns were not consistent with traditional cyber espionage or intelligence gathering operations.

Volt Typhoon has been active since mid-2021, according to a Microsoft investigation published last year. Targeting US infrastructure in Guam and elsewhere, Microsoft found it had been “pursuing development of capabilities that could disrupt critical communications infrastructure between the United States and Asia region during future crises”.

“People’s Republic of China (PRC) state-sponsored cyber actors are seeking to pre-position themselves on IT networks for disruptive or destructive cyberattacks against US critical infrastructure in the event of a major crisis or conflict with the United States,” said the joint report.

I find it wildly insane, how far American people have drifted from the days of 9/11 unity. A couple of short decades later, an entire generation is oblivious to the conniving schemes of corrupt politicians.

Shame, so many people are easily fooled, if even for a few years before the reality sets in.

I am soo sick and tired of what is going in the US in the last 3 years since the democrats has taken over, they are destroying the US in a way that it will never be able to recuperate.
