W swojej chełpliwości wyglądam miłości
Pożeram potężne wersety mądrości
I nie zauważam jak w swojej pewności
Flegmatycznie schylam się ku ciemności

Och! Ile jeszcze przede mną srogości
Żaden Mistrz nie przemilczy mi moich skłonności
Tkając gwiezdne wersety w odświętnej skrytości
Uczę się jak układać je z czystej jasności

In my boastfulness I look for love
I devour powerful verses of wisdom
And I don't notice how in my confidence
I lean phlegmatically towards the darkness

Oh! How much more severity lies ahead of me
No Master will keep silent about my tendencies
Weaving star verses in festive secrecy
I'm learning how to arrange them from pure brightness
