My first ever sighting of a possible UFO.

i too tracked a bright object at 22:00-23:00hrs as i strolled the low-tide beach in S.C.

It was unusually bright (like a white object in a black sky) moving from South to North (unusual)

this was before hurricane Hugo ever made landfall

i suspected the ISS or a spy platform orbiting above was the answer, not a UFO



to OP;

summer vacation, hershey PA, 1959....stargazing @ 10-11PM before bedtime---- a large V sequence of 13 lights at low altitude silently glided over my position...
that formation i guessed was a 'flying wing' , except i heard no noise or engines or propellers as it soared/floated past my field of vision night sky, west-to-east @under 25 mph

If it were just after midnight Orion would have been slightly southwest of your location. I'm looking at Orion right now. My house faces directly south. Orion is about 1 o'clock from where I'm standing. Where was the object in relation to Orion at the time you saw it.?

I'm not doubting what you saw. I'm just confused as to which direction you were facing.

I was outside my back door having a smoke. The door is actually on the side of the house, not an unusual thing. I was looking directly towards the A1(M) which more or less runs adjacent to my house going north about half a mile or so from my house.
The light was moving north in roughly the same direction as the motorway but it did not seem to be as far away as the motorway, somewhere in between my house and the A1(M).
As I said, Orion was directly to my left, South/South West.

Believe what you want, I'm not pushing anything here.....just reporting what I saw.

Please elaborate.

I have no idea what they were but after some reflection and comments made here and elsewhere I tend to lean towards Orbs of some sort.
I have no idea what the 'orbs' might be and who or what might control them.

i obviously don't have a picture of it nor have i seen the aircraft that being said

i was told that the dull yellow light that looks like a flame they yellow color but softer is a sub orbital ISR on demand on time sensitive targets.

the one i saw crossed from horizon to horizon zig zagging making what LOOK like 90deg. turns the whole way

the crazy thing when i saw it, it was a few years ago, you saw it recently and to me that shows it has been in service for a while as it appears to be flying missions.

it would be funny if someone tested a missile or some odd accident happens at a military target.
