Reports say the plane was attacked in the Russian city of Chelyabinsk and that the operation was carried out by pro-Kyiv saboteurs.

The clever culprits appeared to have sneaked behind enemy lines and onto the airfield to set the jet on fire as videos show it up in flames late at night.

A source in the Ukrainian HUR military intelligence said: “We can confirm that the enemy aircraft has been completely burnt out."

How embarrassing , it's one thing to have your plane hit on the ground by a missile but to have someone walk up to it and torch it , Wow.

damage looks pretty minimal. Looks like when you throw a Molotov at the side of a vehicle, such as a van or bus. Did the guy trek miles in the snow and squirt it with lighter fluid?? I am curious as to exactly what method was used here, it just does not appear damaged enough. They would have done better to toss a couple of grenades in there. Don't tell me they can't get them, just a few weeks back some disgruntled Ukrainian showed up to a local council budget meeting and threw multiple grenades into the crowd.

They should have pointed him towards this plane, he would have done better.
