Gipsy Kings

I've been listening to these guitar masters for over two decades now, enjoying their raspy voices, overlapping acoustic guitars, flamenco and 12-string Spanish guitars, and other instruments. I was also lucky, and privileged enough, to see them in a very small, Unplugged style setting, and then mingle with them afterwards. Small concert, maybe a 150 people in total, but easily one of the best and most memorable of my life.

Who knows the Gipsy Kings? Who's heard of them already?

We LOVE the gypsy kings in my house. My father-in-law is a real p.o.s. but I have to be thankful that he introduced me to their music about 25 years ago.

My wife and I had a bunch of their cd’s (when cd’s were a thing).

Have you heard the flamenco guitarist Sabacus? Robbie Krieger from the Doors turned me on to him. I'm probably misspelling his name.. every time I look it up it's spelled differently!
