Da Vinci Code Proves Islamic View of Christ

Accordiong to the Islamic belief, Jesus Christ was a human and a prophet of God. This is exactly the same message Dan Brown is giving in his acclaimed book. If you read the book, you notice that Jesus was not a deity and was promoted to that level by an ecunemical vote in the third century under the pressure of pagan emperor Constantine. Moreover, Bible has been altered by the Christian clergy.

In case you have been under a rock, or something, the Da Vinchi code is FICTION. (Infact its been described as a book for people who don't often read books)

Based on the fact its a fiction, and well attested as such, that hardly confirms any claim with Islam does it?

This is what i believed before the da vinci code anyways... Jesus was a good guy with some great teaching... they were then distorted by fiture generations... I'm not saying i agree with Islam, i turned my back on their teachings a long time ago, and i'm not saying Dan Brown is non-fiction... I'm merely using my rationale and logic to come to my own conclusion

If jesus was just a good guy with some good teaching then he was a nut with a mesianic complex.

If he had good teaching and that teaching describes himself as God, then you either take it as true or reject it all. You can't walk a 1/2 way path between the things you like and the things you hate.

I disagree.
We don't actually have a Gospel of Jesus, written by Jesus himself. We have a second hand acount of events, other people saying this and that about Jesus. We don't know if these people had an agenda or not, we don't know if they misunderstood things Jesus said.
So, it is possible to believe in Jesus, but doubt other people's ideas on who and what Jesus was.
A claim that he was a Prophet is just as valid as the claim that he was the Son of God, in terms of proof, since the proof on both sides are other people's words.
As a Christian you choose to believe that the writers of Gospels have been led by Holy Spirit, like they claim. As a Muslim you choose to believe that the Koran was inspired by God.

I guess we will know for sure when he returns one day

Wow. So a fictional story managed to prove Islam is right. Fantastic! Give me a couple of days and I'll write a fictional story which will prove the Biblical version of Christ...Then that would prove moral relativism for ya, I suppose, because both versions would have been proven. Very, very interesting! I hadn't realized fiction denotes fact.

I guess I just really did prove that Hitler, Reagan, Bush Sr. and GW are all the same reptiod. And here I was trying to be sarcastic. That'll learn me!

EXACTLY !! The DaVinci Code proves nothing... its a fcitional story based on the "Last supper" painting from Leonardo DaVinci... people act has if the painting was a PHOT taken by some papparazzi at the moment of the supper itself..

and on the other hand, so waht if Jesus was married (i dont believe he was), marriaged is not a crime or a sin. In fact if Jesus was married he still performed MANY miracles, so the possibility of marriage didnt change the fact that he was the Son of God, and that he was divinity.

Leonardo DaVinci was a believer in the Templar doctrine, and he made a painting based on his belief. That doesnt prove him right.

I myself am thinking about writting a book that proves the Romans soldiers were actually reptilians under the influence of G.W.Bush's EarthQuake/Volcano/Tornado machine... now thats what i call PROOF !

and like i said before ...SO WHAT IF JESUS WAS MARRIED? If Jesus was married it only made him the married SON OF GOD. nothing else changes.


P.S. - how exactly does marriage makes you less than the Son of God? why would marriage affect that? So if you are divinity you cant be married? where is that rule? in fact if Jesus was married he was only given a GOOD example to everyone else.
