The perp has been identified as 67 year old Anthony Polito.

Authorities have determined that the victims who were killed in the shooting were faculty or staff, not students. That suggests the attack was not entirely random, but it's not clear yet if he knew the particular individuals.

The investigation at this time indicates he fired first on police before they shot and killed him.

It looks like he applied for a professor position and was turned down. It's tragic that 3 people lost their lives over that.

I most cases equate mass shooters as mk ultra psychiatric operations. Can't prove it beyond it's signature though. Hypnotized with crazy eyes suffering amnesia.

Imagine the loss of life if unlv was gun free zone?

I've gotten pretty furious in my life but never thought using a weapon was the solution. My heart goes out to the deceased.

I agree. Hate to hear about cases like this. If you are that miserable eat the barrel but no need for innocent people to die. That is more selfish than suicide itself.
