In the US it is Thanksgiving Day tomorrow

It is a time to be thankful for what we have. Appreciate what we have. To cherish family, friends and neighbors.

I appreciate and am thankful that I haven't been banned (yet) and can have an opportunity to speak my opinions.

I am thankful for my long-suffering wife who still puts up with me after decades of marriage.

I'm thankful that I can still work and have a job and can provide.

I'm thankful for my two sons.

I'm thankful for my friends and foes.


Now many will look at this holiday as a celebration of colonialization.

So in that vein my neighbors (who are Indian but from India but I won't quibble) will be forced to make my family a meal as I take over their house.

I am thankful for quite a lot in my life.
My faith....which has become most important to me as I have gotten older.
My spouse.
Good friends, many of them here.
My online acquaintances, both friend and not-so-friend.
My RL neighbors.
A warm and cozy place to live and a reliable car to take us places.

Enjoy your feast and time with family.

I'm bailing on traditional this year and doing a creole theme with fried catfish and some sides.

Beside the regular everyone is thankful for... family, friends, health, good food etc...

I'm thankful to be an American. I feel very safe and fortunate living here. I've been to many other places and many of us don't know just how good we have it.

I'm thankful for all the different opinions I see here and the people I talk to. I get so much of the opposite side everywhere else, it's nice to hear what everyone else has to say here and to get all points of view.

I'm thankful for being white AND male, I feel like I've already won the life lottery there. What else can I ask for?

Merry Thanksgiving DBCeezzer! 🍻

I thought tomorrow was Turkey day, a day when the family had to get together and pig out. I already made the cherry pie and wild blueberry pie with a little raspberries and blackberries in it this evening. We are having the get together at our house tomorrow, the oldest daughter is taking Christmas and the other is doing Easter dinner at her house.

It is just a tradition, I am very thankful when the dinner is all done, dishes are washed, and EVERYONE HAS LEFT.

This year was the first time when I celebrated it without my family because I'm on a business trip, and it made me realize that there is nothing more important than a family.
It's important to keep the traditions alive, and be thankful not only once a year, but everyday!
