Ok, you convince the U.S admin to put nukes on Taiwan.

Putting nukes in Taiwan would be enough provocation for the PRC to start the China-Taiwan war before delivery of the nukes take place. Not a good move at all.

The point is Taiwan will probably need no foreign help. If they decide they will make the nuke they will have it probably in 5 years.

However I still thin that if Taiwan had nukes China would not attack it.

I was there when the USA purportedly forced Taiwan to stop their own nuke development program.

My thought at the time was . . .

IF there is sufficient will in Taiwan . . . they will develop their own nukes . . . regardless.

I'd actually be surprised if they haven't long ago.
