So, the other morning I'm in a hurry, and I throw my plate and utensils in the bowl with the Sunlight, or whatever dish-washing liquid.

The next day ... your steak-knife went through the bowl!

How you going to close it?

OK I was washing dishes, and the steak-knife went through the "plastic bowl".

The knife fell, and it made a hole in which turned out Bakelite.

And mom's like: "That's my favorite bowl"!

But you get that silicone to fix fish-tanks.

Ooh, I fixed it!

You could always close the bowl with another lid. Use plastic or foil wrap. Sometimes you can fit a bowl into a ziplock bag.

So, bakelite vs steak knife and the bowl did not break or shatter? Pictures or it did not happen. Baklite is too brittle for that to happen. It would not just be cut, it would break. Also baklite is good to over 200c so there had to be fire applied to that knife to push it through. Water can't get that hot without being under a lot of pressure.

Edit: Baklite has asbestos and formaldehyde as components so why are you still using it?

If you get out of the planet hole you're in the refrigerator and if you get out of that then the door might close. That was the doorbell ding dong. a reply to: CaptainHalf

A lot of old artillery fuzes were made out of Baklite.

Very useful stuff.

Ja well watch that candle, or the entire tent fizzles.

I always wanted to ask: sweetie, are we insured?

Not really, but luckily everybody else is.

So if you get hit on a T-junction, it could be "fortunate".
