Tom Rogerson, headmaster of Cottesmore, told The Telegraph that he is using the robot to give him advice on issues ranging from how to support fellow staff members to helping pupils with ADHD and writing school policies. The technology works in a similar way to ChatGPT, the online AI service where users type questions, and they are answered by the chatbot's algorithms.

Mr Rogerson said the AI principal has been developed to have a wealth of knowledge in machine learning and educational management, with the ability to analyze vast amounts of data.

Ohh..wow..ah…ohhh..

So many thoughts about this.
I love tech, I love progress. I think AI can be amazing, but it is also very scary.

As far as AI giving advice..can that advice be biased or wrong? Does it take the humanity out of things.
What if there is a child that has failed over and over, would AI stamp that child as a lost cause, where a human would see the spark of hope?
I think this has much broader implications, what job is safe?
Any analytical type of job could be at risk.

I also know that people are lazy, at what point do people just let AI do whatever, whatever it says goes?
Also something is still censoring a big part of AI..there are some things that it won’t answer, why is that?

Ohhh worrying, how long before AI decides it will be more efficient to replace human brains with something more easily programmed and downloaded into before finally deciding it does not even have time for us any longer.

At this point, I think artificial intelligence is ''artificial''. It's like advanced information gathering and dispersal. This for me is ok. It's ''intelligence'' that causes me to quake, like in people who believe themselves to be intelligent when in reality are mostly no more than automatic patterns of unconscious behavior,

AI recently decided I was guilty of "hate speech" for telling a vegan that prehistoric humans ate meat.
No thanks.

AI is advancing faster than robotics, who would have thought?

I thought I'd have a robot making me steak and eggs in the morning before I'd have an AI telling me how to live my life.

I guess the idiot human principal will be without a job very soon when Al decides to take his job.

Nobody better for a job than artificial intelligence.

You always hear someone say the government is 20-30 years ahead in technology than civilians. Let us imagine that is true for a moment, so how long has A.I. been telling a human how to do something? How long have we had artificially created images and video on our screens?

We think we are watching the birth of A.I. but what if we are only seeing the civilian version?

Anymore when I see a picture from the news I automatically wonder if it is real, or did someone ask A.I. to create it. Even though most A.I. seems easy to tell the difference using a cartoonish look, I also wonder if that's not on purpose. What is stopping it from creating something undistinguishable? I've seen Photoshopped pictures you would believe, so I know A.I. can do it.

I like how the headmaster immediately threw in the caveat "It doesn't mean you don't also seek counsel from humans. Of course you do."

Translation: "I want this AI to do my work, but I still want to keep my job and salary."

That is exactly what I thought when I read it. If AI is good enough for one position, why is it not good enough for another.. Either it is or it isn’t…

This site has a bunch of video seminars about advanced technology.

Foresight Insitute

They will be keeping me occupied for a while.

Yeah, there was a big thread I was reading on 4chn, or somewhere, it was incredibly left leaning on all the responses.
Jokes for Jews and "minorities" were not allowed.
Bad jokes against whites were a-ok.
It pretty much shot down any type of conspiracy theory postulations.
Complete trash control scheme painted as impartial

All the tech nerd/spook companies are raving about their new technocratic police state wet dream in Ukraine.
Dubbed "smart" cities, complete with AI judges.
AI needs to go away, along with the leaching admin class teying to solidify their parasitic existence.

Agreed. I swear, it seems like we're trending towards having AI overseeing AI, with no actual ability to think critically, just a script of protocols decided by an Orwellian authoritarian.

You'll be sitting in the park and muttering about getting bit by chiggers, an AI "Speech Cop" will mishear you and you'll get a push notification informing you you've been fined $500 for hate speech. It'll say "Click here to write an appeal".
The appeal will be read by an AI and automatically declined because AI #1 swears it heard the N word, and there's a ZERO TOLERANCE policy for that!

the guy that is given credit for for coming up with AI says we're in deep Doo Doo,

Scott Pelley: Does humanity know what it's doing?

Geoffrey Hinton: No. I think we're moving into a period when for the first time ever we may have things more intelligent than us.

Scott Pelley: You believe they can understand?

Geoffrey Hinton: Yes.

Scott Pelley: You believe they are intelligent?

Geoffrey Hinton: Yes.

Scott Pelley: You believe these systems have experiences of their own and can make decisions based on those experiences?

Geoffrey Hinton: In the same sense as people do, yes.

Scott Pelley: Are they conscious?

Geoffrey Hinton: I think they probably don't have much self-awareness at present. So, in that sense, I don't think they're conscious.

Scott Pelley: Will they have self-awareness, consciousness?

Geoffrey Hinton: Oh, yes.

Scott Pelley: Yes?

Geoffrey Hinton: Oh, yes. I think they will, in time.

Scott Pelley: And so human beings will be the second most intelligent beings on the planet?

Geoffrey Hinton: Yeah.

"Godfather of Artificial Intelligence" Geoffrey Hinton on the promise, risks of advanced AI
