So they are steerable. I guess all that's needed for altitude control would be a small helium tank with remote controls and a relief valve, which means the operators can retrieve their equipment, some of which could be classified, when finished.

The portable platform also contains a classified capability, which the army has described as highly advanced and the first of its kind in surveillance aerostats.

Anyone care to speculate as to what the classified capability might be?

Directed Energy Weapons?
Advance surveillance technology that can see through walls and roofs?
AI assisted electronic surveillance, tracking, and hacking?
Can release mini-drones?

Signals and electronic intelligence equipment. You can’t have a large payload on something like that. Maybe a couple hundred pounds on a good day.

Looks just like an Israeli aerostat, is over Israel, Israel known to use them regularly. Yep! It's a US balloon!
