Hunter Biden attorney, Richard jones, has withdrawn himself from the case brought against Biden for his federal gun charges.

www.foxnews.com...

What does this say for Hunter?

Does Jones see the writing on the wall that they are going to throw the book at Hunter for this?

How is Hunter taking this news, where will he go from here?

He has already pleaded not guilty to the charges. Will he stick with his plea and see who his next attorney will be, or will he change his plea to try and get a plea deal for everything else?

Dick Jones couldn't stay on as head of the OCP?

Sorry, couldn't resist.

He still has two other lawyers on the case.

He could have spoken to special counsel Robert Hur and learned that both Hunter and Joe were selling United States secrets for cash and favors and other valuables.

Begs the question though, Why did he leave?

Something that would sink all of them if it came out?

Will the other two follow suit?

You certainly have a rich fantasy life.

It's not exactly a complex case. It was probably decided that three lawyers was overkill and there was no need to continue incurring the cost.

No one is questioning how Hunter is able to afford the alleged top tier lawyers he has retained? He is unemployed after all. His legal fees must be quite impressive considering how many times he has been to court. Tax issues, child support and this gun case, it bears watching.

Hahahaha....quite a different response than when the Cheeto loses a lawyer. Seriously though, it happens all the time. I mean, if it is such an easy case why not use a PD? I mean, he is unemployed and qualifies...right?

Complex for them, considering he is trying to plead guilty to something he for sure did.

I could see getting rid of lawyers if he was going to change his plea to guilty and not even bother fighting it.

Hunter Biden made a mistake, now it's time to erase that mistake.

There's already precedent in another Circuit that the law in question is unconstitutional. Hunter's lawyers just need to follow the template laid out by that case. Worst case scenario for Hunter is the case gets appealed up the Supreme Court who strikes down the law nationwide.

Still unsure as to how his lawyers are claiming the law is unconstitutional?

Cocaine is federally illegal, the use of which makes you a felon

Being in possession of a firearm as a felon is illegal.

He didn't have to do coc aine, that was his choice.

He also chose to lie on a federal form and become a felon. Technically twice in the same check mark

On the contrary...It would be a best case scenario for Hunter Biden's gun case to go to the Supreme Court --- Both for Hunter and the rest of civil society, if the gun law gets struck down.

That is a double edged sword

On one hand, yes, getting rid of any gun ownership restricting law is a win. (Even though this one is not one I would agree with getting rid of. )

But on the other, he committed a felony, one where anyone else would have been put behind bars without a second chance, and he should be held accountable for his actions.

Says the one who has been lost in an idealistic fantasy land for years.

The same MO of the Biden's, blame others for what you are doing.

Priceless, but worth less than zero at the same time.

(Hunter's lawyer obviously didn't want to destroy his own reputation defending a total loser).

He was never convicted of a drug charge so how is he a felon?

Best case scenario for Hunter is having the case thrown out at the district level saving him a lot of legal fees.
