Social Fads

It is hard to me to believe that the social fad this year is to look down at your cell phone while crossing the street.

The youth learned it from social media, the adults learned it from the youth, and now the adults are teaching their children to look down at their phone and ignore cars while attempting to walk across the street.

Anybody who disagrees with me, I promise they are doing it. Everybody is doing it - it is a social fad. It doesn't surprise me that they all have a heart and conscious to do that because if they said they had any respect for their own species it would be a serious lie.

Just another social fad that I refuse to act upon because I see that it IS a social fad - monkey see, monkey do. I just wouldn't imagine that a social fad would be to ignore cars when crossing the street and to teach our children to do so.

Our leaders lying to us in every aspect of knowledge by the media and religions have truly injured society and turned them into beings who know nothing between wrong and right. The spiritual human truth is far far away from their mental grasp.

My little brother got hit by 3 or 4 cars when we were kids because that idiot never looked before running out in the street.

I always knew to look both ways before crossing.

Somehow he survived to adulthood.

Actually they are trying to feign a lawsuit. Being struck by a car they will either blame the driver or the phone network and go for big bucks.

I can't think of anything more stupid than following a fad. Any fad. Think for yourself, people!

I mean, we live in sorry times when most everybody has to follow the crowd with whatever is the latest fad.

Cover yourself with tattoos. Why, because everybody else is doing it.
Put a ring in your nose. Why, because everybody else is doing it.
Color your hair blue. Well, you could probably blame the Smurfs for that one.
Get a cell-phone. Why, because everybody else is doing it. (Even though these things don't bring any new technology to people. It just makes them look "important" to walk through Walmart talking to their master, err.... cell-phone.)

Every fad that was followed was because people didn't want to think for themselves. Prove me wrong. I would say that at this very moment, the world has more stupid people in it than in any other time in history.

And for the responder that says the world is more populated right now than it's ever been before - thanks in advance for backing up my statement. I'll appreciate it.

I had a group of teenagers doing this while jaywalking about 30' from a crosswalk when I was trying to make a right turn onto the road from a business

Jaywalking is still illegal , so fat chance they'll win a penny. That's what crosswalks are for.
